Custom designed Victorian style home completed in fall of 2003.
Looking for an NEW, OLD HOME? That's the look and feel of this
classic Victorian
home - from it's cedar front porch and gingerbread trim on the outside, to
the
dark mahogany trim and claw-foot tub on the inside. We designed this
specifically
for a couple that was looking for a well built home with classic details - but
with
a modern floor plan that works great for everyday living & entertaining.
The style of the home started with the claw-foot tub, then expanded from
there.
After our initial conversations it became clear that the client was really
looking
for a new, old home ... one that has all of the character and detail of an
older home,
but with the low maintenance and modern conveniences of a new
home.
Working closely with the client we developed a couple of design options
based on the
initial ideas they described. Going through the bid process we were able
to further
refine the concepts until we had just the right plan and just the right
budget. Five
months later the home was completed - on time and under budget!
